Also the Edelbrock fuel pump I bought was too large( It was to wide and hit the oil filter) so I had to run around trying to find a new one. Finally got a Holley that pumps 80 gallons a minute as opposed to the 100 gallon a minute one that wouldn't fit. Also had to get a different fuel filter but now that is all hooked up and waiting on the new gas tank to be built. They also installed the new Griffin aluminum radiator today. Also found out that the trans I bought is a C5 not a C4 and had a hard time finding a dipstick and tube for it but finally got the right tube and found a dipstick that is to long so we had to cut it to the right length and mark it where the full line was. They say tomorrow they will make the new instrument cluster and put the front and rear axles on it along with the drive shaft. Finally coming together. [ March 27, 2006, 06:46 PM: Message edited by: Vanishing Breed ] | | | Re: Fresh update #84144 March 27th 2006 8:16 pm | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 21,211 Likes: 25 Supreme Master | Supreme Master Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 21,211 Likes: 25 | Sweet man...she's really lookin' good! | | | Re: Fresh update #84145 March 28th 2006 7:23 am | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 4,338 vantooner | vantooner Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 4,338 | Must be getting close to driving time... | | | Re: Fresh update #84146 March 28th 2006 8:55 am | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,855 Likes: 234 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,855 Likes: 234 | That is beautiful! Are you gonna have an electric fan for cooling or stay with the flex fan? The reason I asked is because I had one lose a blade once and flex fans have scared me (a little)ever since. Do us guys a favor on the East coast: Video the test drive (with the cut outs open!!) and post it! | | | Re: Fresh update #84147 March 28th 2006 12:00 pm | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2,298 veteran | veteran Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2,298 | Cool Beans Mike it's looking great.and it sounds like you will be at Econofest.and rember Art takes time....... | | |
