Been looking at this one for a while (since September) and things worked out. Been too long since my ole 67 Eco. Picked this gal up on the way back from our Christmas trip to WV. She came from near Frederick, MD. been owned and garage kept by the gentleman since 92 and he babied it. Never in salt or snow. Really sad since he's getting dementia and can't drive anymore.Picked it up last Wednesday night and drove it back the next day, all 400 plus miles of test drive. Drove and rode well. A little too much Cadillac feel here and there, but nice. Anyway, the pics below are from the PO's grandson and I will take some more soon. Weather in SE NC has been wet and going to get worse.

Here's the skinny:

82 G20 StarCraft
PO put in a new GM350 and freshened up trans/rear 50k miles ago.
Custom Paint. Cab visor. Bug shield.
Interior is great and all original blue. Has the extended bed package as well. Original radio and period Cobra CB.

Things I need to do:
-Take of some "gas saver" bottle thing (cracked probably vac leak)
-Throttle (cable)feels a little tacky, some tension and doesn't release immediatly, a hair slow) May be normal or just cleaned and lubed cable)
-Update headlights to brighter
-Instrument bulbs - weak
-Figure out dome lamp situation (switches there, but only reading lights throughout) - More investigation required
-Vent window, and sweep rubber replacement (maybe new latches)
-Windshield seal (bottom middle seam temp. repaired)
-Fix, replace, or do away with bug shield (cracked)
-A Good Once Over and Under Everything
-Give her a name

Wants:
-Hitch - in route
-Update stereo (regret-ingly)

-Maybes- KC light bar/some fogs, running board lights, etc.
-Graphics (somewhere, so many windows, LOL)

If that 'gas saver thing' you are referring to is a large black ball, that is actually a vacuum reservoir. If you remove it completely your HVAC controls will be erratic.

It's some aftermarket thing. Little clear thin plastic rectangular box with a small hose going somewhere. Haven't read the name in it yet.

guzzidude, Welcome to the site. Excellent Chevy!

Regarding the Bottle under the hood:

Awhile back, in the 70's, there was a period where I saw these being mounted for water injection into the motor through a vacuum line from the bottle. Supposedly in order to improve mileage.

Plastic bottles filled with water in the Winter...

Cheers!

Hey guys thanks for the props. Yes Wedgy it was a Gasaver. I took it off and put a nipple on the T. Still idles a little high. I need to track down if there's a vac leak. Throttle is still a little sticky, but I don't think it's the cable. Rai y today, so no luck for today. Pulled the dash and installed new 5.5" speakers and CD head unit. The wood looked fine, but I had to make a new piece for the new radio. Wood was lighter so I just sanded and restained everything. Reworked the cupholder as well by flipping it around and cutting/boxing in a place for phones or change. Need some pics. So far so good on everything and enjoying her so far. Thanks again all. Little things still on the burners.
