I just bought a '94 ful size Chevy cargo... I'm so excited for this! It should be headed to Michigan within a couple weeks. It's coming from Arizona.... I very much want an older nose on it though.

If I can find the parts, is it possible. I know my way around a toolbox torch and welder... Will all of the body lines work? From what I can tell I should be able to do it. Has anyone else done this?

Thanks so much!

Kurt

There are some pics out there of a gray shorty 90's Chevy van w the older grille. Do a search for Wayne's Chevy Van. You might find a YouTube video as well as some pics from car domain with him setting the older grille in place. I agree w the style of the older grille, I have an 89 but liked the look of my old 77.

Oh, I'm not saying it's an even swap out. Some behind the grill fab work will be needed. I haven't done it but saying it's been done.

Munz did the opposite and he posted this info for a person that had a similar request:

"Yes you can swap this over but you will need the 2 panels on each side of the radiator with the headlight buckets and parking light mounts, the upper core support that goes from fender to fender and latches the hood. These are bolted on on the 74 -77 welded on the 71 - 73. The hood might line up but I'm not 100% sure on witch years interchange. You will also have to splice the parking light wires because they're slightly different. And obviously you will need the grill and bumper. Recently there was a guy selling the entire setup on Facebook and it was complete with everything you would need. If you can get your hands on a complete 74-77 chevy to get the parts that would be the best. The 2 panels with the headlight buckets will have to be cut / spot welds drilled but other than that this is a bolt in swap."

You can do search on the site and find other postings on the same or similar subject.

Thank you so much. I figured I could make it happen... Now I just need to find the right parts.

Here are some pictures of it now. She is still in Arizona, I need to nail down some shipping...

Cool!

Looks a lot like a van I've seen before.
