I didn't get to install the pinion into the housing yet because I need to get the correct sized socket, a torque wrench capable of 210 ft-lb minimum (mine only goes to 150), and I also need a beam type inch-lb torque wrench for preload, but most importantly I need to get the OEM pinion yoke seal. All the seals I get with these kits or the ones I have bought in the past they fit, but the flange is so large that it strikes the dust shield on the yoke. So I have to get that. Anyways, I did some painting today. I painted the strut rods, backing plates, primed the other side of the gas tank straps, oh I also installed the diff temp sensor and painted the surrounding edge of the pan. Here are all of the photos. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2IjmQ5Cc2XGTHowVVZDaG1qOUE&usp=sharing | | | Re: Walter's (95 Dodge B2500) restoration plans... | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 addict | OP addict Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 | Another productive day. I got another reinforcement plate fabricated and installed. Only one more to go! Here is a link to today's photos: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2IjmQ5Cc2XGb1lHNzhXVnZzUFkYesterday and today I ordered some things I will need. I bought a socket, socket adapter set, inch-lb torque wrench beam type, 8 oem core plugs, rear abs sensor wiring harness, and oem pinion yoke seal. I also decided to put one coat of black paint on the leaf springs. They paint will fall off eventually, but atleast for the first few days of operation they will look good.

I had to go to the store early this morning to get more drill bits, but I got what I needed. I also picked up construction adhesive to fix the garage door. Anywho, here are the photos from today: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2IjmQ5Cc2XGTlV6NU9lY2R1MVkMy new torque wrench and the 1-5/16 socket came today, soon I shall put the axle together. I did install the backing plates onto the axle and cleaned up the ABS sensor. | | | Re: Walter's (95 Dodge B2500) restoration plans... | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 addict | OP addict Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 | | | | Re: Walter's (95 Dodge B2500) restoration plans... | Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 2,427 veteran | veteran Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 2,427 | Wow! you are doing great on this!

I cut out the floor! Yes no floor. I did this to repair the rust that developed between the pan and the cross members, but it also enables me to clean out the interior of the cross members and paint them. I can also clean up the frame rails and prime those as well. In addition I can repair the floor pan and prime that, it makes things easier in the end. Sadly no body has a replacement floor pan. If the manufacture had one I would of bought it already. Here are the photos. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2IjmQ5Cc2XGelN5NllVaUV6RlEI already started to clean up the cross members. I am also going to finish welding the reinforcement plates to the cross members. | | | Re: Walter's (95 Dodge B2500) restoration plans... | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 addict | OP addict Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 | Thanks friend.
