Normally when I hit this many road blocks with an idea, I take it as a hint...Don't do it! On the rear of the van there are many different options. hangers, flip, springs, blocks, air bags, ect... It seems to be the front that is the culprit. I cant seem to find stock spindles even. If I could find a stock spindle retailer then I could cross reference part #'s and maybe locate a drop spindle from another vehicle that would work. I have a feeling that this van isn't meant to be lowered and that is actually motivating me to do it more. Maybe I'll just buy your springs and work from there...are they still available for purchase?

You mentioned hangers and blocks for the rear. That won't work either since there is not enough clearance between the van floor and the suspension. You'd have to cut out the floor and box it to allow for the hardware to have enough clearance. I didn't like that option at all. So I went with the logic of dropping the front and see where it sits. Then you can make a better decision on lowering the back so it has the right stance, you may not need to lower it at all. I'm waiting to see how it sits and should know by next week. I like the rake and still want to be able to tow a Bass boat and all my camping gear, coolers, and family. So I may save the $550 + shipping for the rear lowering springs from Eaton. I'll use that cash for the headers, cats, and side pipes. Time will tell.

Springs may be the only option for the 94 year model. That said, I cant find lift spindles either. This must be a bastard year 1994. Hell, I can't even seem to find a place that sells original spindles to even get a part number to compare with. I guess I could buy your springs and if they were not low enough I could cut them right? My idea was to either lower her as much as possible, or lift her a few inches. Just anything other than stock. of course if I lift it, I would also widen her foot print with tires, wheels, and probably spacers to maintain stability. Seems the more I research the more I'm thinking I should have bought the ford lol. They have multiple sources for suspension upgrades. | | | Re: Lowering suspension of a 92 Chevy G20 Van | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,855 Likes: 234 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,855 Likes: 234 | G20 is different/heavier, but the G10 is a breeze. Unless you plan on hauling heavy you could just swap the front suspension to a G10 and use C10 spindles/bearings/rotors. The wheels will be the same.

The spindles and hubs are smaller than the G20/G2500 but we've had no major problems over the many miles. | | | Re: Lowering suspension of a 92 Chevy G20 Van | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 558 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 558 | My idea was to either lower her as much as possible, or lift her a few inches. She is the one who helped me find the drop spindles I used. You will need to give her your VIN, measure the rotor thickness, and your lug pattern (probably 5x5). As I stated you will need to get the spacers from the company I noted in one of the past posts to clear the lower control arm, but other than that it is an easy swap.
