I need some opinions. I need to repair a bunch of rust spots on my van. I'm thinking of doing it, and painting the main color (the sandy color) black in order to make the orange stripe and the mural pop. Should i try to restore it to how it originally came or should i go with the black? thanks for the opinions [Linked Image]

You gotta go with what you want. Would be cool to keep original but I like what I want. It's yours so think about what you really want and do it. Black would look awesome I think

I think black would be sweet, and would do just what you want by having the stripes and mural stand out.

Of course I'm just slightly biased, as I'm painting my Dodge Maxi black as well! ;)

Take a few more pictures of the murals sometime; it's fun seeing them up close!

Learning from my own mistakes is good, learning from yours would be much better! [Linked Image]

Here's the mural -- before I cleaned it up. Some fool tried to w wax the van and then didn't take it off. I got it all cleaned off, the paint actually looks good. The mural's really grown on me now

Paint's cleaned up nicely. Amazing what a night with some friends and some cleaner can do!

Nice! Mid Dodge Maxis are awesome.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!
