I lost my power windows, heat/ac fan, and rear fan. Fuses and the four fusable links under the hood all test ok. there is no power at the fuse block for the windows,ac,rear heat. Am I missing a link? Could it be ignition switch? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I decided to check out previous posts before posting my issue in a new topic. This one seems to be closely related to my problem. I have a 92 Chevy g20 that I just bought used. The power windows, AC and windshield wiper don't seem to turn on. I checked the fuses and circuit breakers and those seem to be fine. There is a wire cut and taped with electrical tape but I'm wondering if that was done when the previous owner added the new radio? I know the picture shows the PWR WDO missing the circuit breaker but I was testing it when I took the picture. Anyway, I don't know where the switch would be to check it out. Any help? Oh there is a fuse socket that looks likes it's missing a fuse and don't know where it leads to and is not marked.

Ironhide, Im sure someone will come along and know exactly what theyre looking at.
With just the pics there, It looks like a circut was added for something (the empty fuse holder)
And the wrapped wires could be a radio, or another item thats now gone. Extra lights?

The power windows, AC and windshield wiper, should be separate from one another. The power line from the battery might all be related.

Conversion vans can be a pain electrically. With extra lights, plugs, power seats in back, and so on, its hard to know exactly whats what, with out some testing, or a real good wiring blueprint.

Did you have power at the fuse block when you checked it? If not check your fusible links at the starter.

Thanks for you help. I'm at level 1 vehicle knowledge so I checked the fuses with a DMM and check for continuity. That's as much as I'm able to do without causing more damage. My best and quickest solution is to take it to a mechanic and let him go at it because you're right Magus, it could be something that has since been removed.

I will update you so you know what it was.

thanks!

99.9% of my vehicle electrical gremlins have been caused by a bad engine to chassis ground. These guys could definitely be right with their guesses as well, but that's just been my experience. I've had the engine to firewall ground break in 2 different vehicles, and another was just loose. These have caused everything from non functioning headlights, to turn signals that would blink at random moments.

The other .1% of my electrical headaches have been cause by the floor operated high-low beam switch. That is a very problematic area on old Chevys as it is in an area that collects lots of mud, dirt, dust, and water from your feet and the connections and body ground corodes super easily.
