Finally got new radiator installed this past Sunday. Here is what I originally took out vs what went in and how it looks when complete. Almost a perfect fit. Just had to open up the holes a bit on the side mounting brackets.

Nice! Even if it seemed a bit high at the time, you're going to appreciate the all metal construction. The ones with plastic caps *always* fail eventually... Your overall savings in your time not spent broken down by the side of road is incalculable!

Are you having to use the kind of coolant formulated for Aluminum now?

I just noticed, your air conditioner hoses and fittings look really new; did you have them made up somewhere? I'm looking to refit my A/C with barrier hoses so I can run modern refrigerants.

In actually, not that much of a price difference. There definitely are product on the market that could cost hundreds of $ more but in my research, this product seemed to be a good alternative at a much cheaper/reasonable cost. I know folks locally that have Champion radiators and they have experienced no problems. Only time will tell. A few folks have PM'd me for the supplier and part number which is CC504 through Leadfoot Racing.

In order to maintain my lifetime warranty I was told to use distilled water in the 50/50 mix, so not too big of a deal. Regarding the coolant itself, no instructions regarding anything out of the ordinary. Will just need to do a better job of flushing system every couple of years, a habit that I have always had full intentions with all my vehicles but never follow through.

Fortunately they are the way as I got the van. I do know a local machine shop who has equipment to make these hoses from scratch, so if I ever need replacements he is a good resource. Maybe a local shop near you might have this capability and offer this service too.

Thanks Ram for the feedback.

Wow, you got a really clean van! I have a place here who makes high pressure hydraulic hoses, but they don't have the air conditioner fittings. There must be one somewhere as you say.

That's a fine van! I love the hood scoop, windshield visor, and chin spoiler. I'd like to add those to my rig. Do you have any info on where they were purchased?

Thanks again Ram. Over the years of being on here I've notice a bunch of assistance you have provided to many threads and it is appreciated.

Thanks Astrodokk and welcome to the site. Keep in mind, in 78 the dash changed but it was not until 79 that the body mods took place. Anyway, all was put on before I got it, but I do know the fiberglass hood was provided by a Vanning member. The rear roof spoiler was from a 2008 or so Dodge Charger. The rest I'm not really sure. Check out CustomVan.com as he has a bunch of stuff.

Went in engine area to fix choke linkage, but then one thing lead to another. Not sure of mileage on spark plugs or wires so tackled that. But, due to the engine looking like an old Dodge, removed valve covers to get those all nice and new looking with fresh gaskets. New PCV also. Topped this effort off by stripping then painting air cleaner lid. Enjoy the pics...
