Never done / tried it, but I am not sure it is very good for the fuel system. . .

i am sure someone smarter than me will be along soon.

Did'nt do it on purpose. I think it was that candy bar I ate in Colorado. I was a little confused at the pump.
It runs OK now but sometimes it won't idle for the first few seconds. After 30 40 seconds it smoothes out and runs fine.I put anew filter on when I got home. It still stumbles a little when I start it but runs the same as always after a few seconds

Okay, so this was ONE tank, by accident ? That should be okay. . . IF it is still in the van, I would dilute it by adding fresh fuel (100% gas if you can) to the tank until it has all been used. maybe like use 1/2 tank, add fresh, use 1/2 tank add fresh.

I did a fast google search of this topic, and this was ONE of my finds. LINKY

One time shouldn't cause any issues. The fix is fun and easy. DRIVE YOUR VAN. A LOT.

You want to get it out of the fuel system as quickly as you can. Run the tank as far down as you can and refill with real gas and run that out.

In dealing with old carbeurated bikes, the only problem I've reliably found is that the ethanol will do funny things to the rubber parts in the fuel system. Fuel lines and carb parts get gummy with ethanol and it *can* cause carbeuration issues. It's always seemed to be more a function of ethanol concentration and time spent in the system.

Chances are, you won't have a problem no matter what.

Man, you just can't buy good panelling these days. This new stuff is crap.

It's been at least 8-10 tanks.. It got better each time I filled it up. I put about 15 gallons in a 33 gallon tank at night. When I left in the morning it ran like it had water in it, so I put HEET in it. It seemed to help. It just got better with every fill up. Still won't stay running at first, that gets better too.

E85 is a different tune up setting gotta burn hotter. Heet is the answer to corn oil.

It should be fully diluted / run out by now...

I'm at a loss. I'd look at the fuel filter to see if it's gummed up with crud from the inside of the fuel lines. That old rubber will get soft and dissolve in the ethanol.

I can't remember if you're sitting on top of a fuel injected engine or carberetted. Either can get gummed up.

Maybe a heavy dose of carb / injector cleaner would help?

I'll try that and slack off on the Colorado candy bars.
