You can customize a conversion as you would a cargo, but you will have to allow for some things you can't fix...like all those damn windows!!! hee

There are a few out there with great looking paint jobs on them and some with beautiful interiors.

It is totally up to you and what you want your VAN to be.

The only good thing about conversion vans, you can pick them up cheap because they made some many of them. Most were long wheel base models with tacky paint striping and big windows with Venetian blinds.

Only benefit I can see in them is for parts, e.g., seats, fenders, hoods, bumpers etc.

What's your budget for buying a used van, over or under $5000?

5-6000 would be ideal but I would pay a little more according to the type and style. There are a few conversion vans around ottawa with really nice interiors but I would rather wait to buy a shorty with no windows.Highway star's type of van is what I really want. Lift the back end and install some side pipes. Most vans I see for sale are 4 hours away. Ugh,
