I posted a few months or so ago of my recent purchase. Been a long time lurker and finally had a chance to finally experience the Vanning experience first hand. As with anything, there has been alot of fun since day one, but to date a fair share of bad. Thus the fun, right? No regrets though.

I can tell you that I have learned almost as much in these last few months digging in that I probably have lurking over the years. No complaints here. As there has been MUCH already accomplished, there is MUCH more to do. Current efforts have been mainly focusing on ensuring a reliable and enjoyable ride.

Looking forward to eventually getting out and meeting like minded folks.

Slammed this together when I had a free moment. Worked out pretty good with "Keep On Truckin" font. Currently working on a larger poster size board for future display...



Externally, not touching a thing right now. Awesome setup. Not a motorcycle guy so I removed all remaining Harley Davidson emblems inside and around the van.

Ill keep posting progress on the things being improved, and I can tell you its a bunch in the short time I've had it.

Not necessarily in order, but here is an example of some work I have performed. Was told the van has swivel seats. Not so. Does now though. I hope you like pictures.

I found a set of swivels in a local yard. I think I paid a total of $25 as the attendant had no clue what I put on the desk when checking out. These babies were bolted to the floor of the donor van with nothing else in the way. Placed in my carriage and off I went.



I tell ya, I kinda felt gansta due to sitting low in the drivers seat. You can see the difference in height between the swivel base vs. the fixed base.



Upon removal of the fixed base, carpet needed a quick cleaning. Not bad considering it was probably 100 degrees in the shop so good enough.




I did not want to just blot the base ontop of the carpet, so a few simple tools and some working of the glue, was able to slot carpet in order to slide base underneath.



In the meantime, I had some spare carpet from our house that matched closely to what was already in the van. Measure, cut, glue, tape, presto.



Slipped the swivel base under the cut carpet and bolted down.

Yep, I remember when that van was for sale 3 owners ago. I really thought about buying it back then. Looks awesome!
