The tank is completely full and the internal pump quit working. I don't want to drop it while it is full.
Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by a CLEAN end. | | | Re: draining rear tank 88 xlt club wagon | Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 907 old hand | old hand Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 907 | I pulled the filler neck from the tank side on my 88 and 89 and used a hand pump from Harbor Freight and a couple of gas cans to get them down low enough to drop with a floor jack. The hose is small so you should be able to get it down neck without pulling the neck from the tank, but you'll have to pull it anyway and drop the tank to change the pump. http://www.harborfreight.com/multi-use-transfer-pump-66418.html

Discount a fuel line and put it in a can. Good luck.
