The one I bought from Radio Shack was a magnet mount and it was garbage....I bought a K40 magnet mount and it was great...

My Dodge conversion van has the fiberglass top so I'll be in the market for a whip that I can mount to the aluminum ladder or rear bumper. I don't want to drill any holes in the bumper though...

Just got back from Wally World and they had one small Cobra for like $37.00...I'd rather spend $100 and get a top of the line one with weather scan etc.

you can get a bumper mount that secures to the bumper with straps.
