If this radio does look kind of like a walki talki, go to radio shack and buy a rubber dicky antenna for testing purposes.

I now have a relatively current Cobra.

Any feedback on it?

The price is okay, you MIGHT find the same radio on sale cheaper at your local truck stop, and there would be no shipping costs then.

Also the one on EBay claims to be peaked and tuned etc. and any at the local truck stops probably will not be...don't know how important that is but it sounds like it's nice to have the CB professionally tuned...
Again I'm just a novice CB fella...what do I know | | | Re: CB Radio Question | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 4,043 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 4,043 | Seriously, you will be fine with the Walmart Cobra and a decent antenna. Radio Shack still sells antennas....

As far as antennas, I'll either go K40 or a Wilson...I bought a CB antenna at Radio Shack when I bought one of my first CBs and it was junk and then bought a K40 and it was like night and day compared to the Radio Shack antenna | | | Re: CB Radio Question | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 4,043 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 4,043 | Did you buy one of the magnet mount antennas? None of those are worth a damn.
