The creamsicle orange idea sounds great. Do the roof in cool vanilla. It is Chryslers off white color and would look good with the creamsicle orange. After all, creamsicles are filled with vannilla ice cream.

That would cut down on paint cost and still give you a killer custom touch to the van.

Orange is a cool van color. One thing to think about...orange is a color that will show all the body work and prep defects or mistakes. So good prep is key. Which ever color YOU chose, I am sure it will turn out nice.
I'm going through the same color choice issues. But I have narrowed it down. If I had to chose this minute, I would go with a bright non metallic blue for mine. Wife wants ME to go with orange, too. But I have a blue van and a blue interior and changing colors means a lot of work...door jambs, under the hood, etc. She thinks the orange outside with a blue interior would be cool. ( I have all the materials to do the interior in Levi's denim) I'm not as enthusiastic about the concept. Had considered white with multi-color pattern of some kind. But too much work for a daily driver, and too hard on a tight budget. | | | Re: new color for my van | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 3,586 Likes: 1 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 3,586 Likes: 1 | creamsicle is a great color , but since your looking to leave the roof white you may want to do the bottom white like a street van have it roll around the fenders flare body lines . Maybe some scallops to break it up , draw a few different ones on paper first . Thats one thing i like to do when comming up with ideas to see what works best you can get a better idea on a drawling . | | | Re: new color for my van | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 941 old hand | old hand Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 941 |
