Looking for answers on a sliding door issue for my shorty chev with flares. I have the extended bar for the back of door which allows me to open my slider only so far before it hits the flare. Is there anything out there for the front mechanisms so they might extend so door will open fully... i have googled and googled with no results.....anyone have an answer? I actually have an aftermarket extension (Superior) and still cant get the slider open all the way, the only thing I know is to make the extension longer but then your hanging all that weight way out there putting more stress on the trolly....next step would be gullwing!

There was only an extender for the rear arm, not the front as I believe the door would never close correctly if you tried to move the front out.
We had the same issue with our long wheel base Chevy back in 1979 & 1980. Solved the problem by Gullwing the door in 1981, have loved it ever since.
If you were real good with metal work, you could recess the inside of the bottom of the door to allow space for the flare to slide past and get a little bit more opening width but you would also have to reinforce the bottom of the door.
