I just purchased the customized 1974 B200 that was on ebay last week. http://www.ebay.com/itm/231216183482? I saw it discussed here in the ebay finds section (I am not a yuppie by the way lol). I am headed to Iowa next week to pick her up and drive it back to Pittsburgh. Nothing like a 750mi road trip to get myself acquainted with my new best friend. I am a lifelong Mopar guy and have owned many of them over the years but have always wanted a survivor type 70's custom van. This one definitely fits the bill. One thing I agree with everyone on is the wheels have got to go!! So I need some advice. My initial thoughts are Cragar S/S as those always seem to look great when I see other vans with them on it. The size of the wheel/tire combo on it currently is: Front: 15x8 with P265/50 and Back: 15x10 with P295/50. Will this same combo look good with the Cragars? I won't know the offset until I get the van home. Any pictures or advice would be appreciated. I also would like to add some side pipes as well but am unsure if the sliding door presents any issues with that plan? Just as a side note I wouldn't say I am entirely new to Vanning. I bought a 2003 GMC Savanna AWD van brand new and drove it for 10 years everyday to the tune of 265k miles. Thanks for the help, guys! | | | Re: New member with 74 B200 | Joined: Apr 2014 Posts: 26 newbie | newbie Joined: Apr 2014 Posts: 26 | The Cragar S/S is not a bad choice or just do Google image searches of all kinds of the old Mopar muscle cars like the Super Bee's, Cudas, Chargers, etc and find a wheel that emulates the style from the haydays of Mopar Muscle. | | | Re: New member with 74 B200 | Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 1,091 old hand | old hand Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 1,091 | Welcome to the site..I was watching that van on CL...Congrats | | | Re: New member with 74 B200 | Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 1,091 old hand | old hand Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 1,091 | | | | Re: New member with 74 B200 | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 941 old hand | old hand Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 941 | Welcome from the U.K. Also you could think about slot mags, cyclones or something along those lines so you've got a few more options.

Just not sure about the tire size. 50's front and back doesn't really look that great to me. | | | Re: New member with 74 B200 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 12,847 Maniac | Maniac Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 12,847 | Welcome 67deluxe......awesome purchase dude.....and yes on the Cragars.. Personally I'd go for a set of slot mags for that real old school vibe.
The 1980 Dodge B-series van that brought me here. It sat untouched in a garage since 1989! I sold it back to the very same guy who drove it 30 years ago for Mobile radio. Sometimes you just have to put a van where it belongs. Glad to see her getting the love it deserves. | | | Re: New member with 74 B200 | Joined: May 2014 Posts: 61 journeyman | OP journeyman Joined: May 2014 Posts: 61 | Also considering the Wheel Vintiques 03 series Comet wheels. They look awfully close to Cragars and are less expensive. I actually think they may even look a little more vintage than the Cragars. I will be sure to post some pics once I get her home and cleaned up with the new wheels. Anybody put side pipes on one of these with the sliding door? | | |
