Missed seeing you guys this year. What are your plans for the walls in the back? Thanks. Yeah... I didn't have much time to go to van runs. First, I finished it late, then, my pacemaker was replaced so I wasn't too adventurous for about 3-4 weeks. Plus work kept me really busy. Next summer I need to take a few Fridays off and hit the road! For the back wall (I assume you mean over the sink, driver side middle) I intend to put ceramic tiles. Like a house. I think I'm going to cover the wall with fiberglass to prevent it from flexing too much and then add the tile over it. There's also supposed to be a small 1 cubic feet cupboard and lighting.

Sorry... So here are some updates on my progress. I usually spend lots of time in the garage in the winter time to repair/improve the van before the next camping season. This year was a little different. Activities and situations like laser eye surgery ( ), travel for work, a less motivated phase ( ) and even making a garden all contributed to a sporadic and very late work period on the van. - First project: Counter backsplash The back board over the counter had a vertical joint where two sheets of plywood met. They were held together with staples! One leg on each plywood! It was stupid, uneven and rusted. I removed all the staples and glued (of all things...) a left over piece of peg board with PL adhesive to get a flat surface. I used the holes in the pegboard to pit a few screws to hold the panel in place until the adhesive dried. The good thing about the pegboard is that it was thin enough to easily follow the contour of the van, the holes should be good for the cement to grip and... It was free ;) The next step was to add the cupboard. Even though it's tiny, it's pretty heavy and I was worried that it would fall down. We (me and my dad) ended up putting 2 screws in the back, 2 through the ceiling and, my new buddy, PL ahesive. It should be good. Finally, we laid cement and st-up the tiles. I picked "small" 4" x 4" tiles to follow the contour and pit three rows of coloured glass tile for some colour. I picked this tile because I want to make it look luxurious. Like a house really. The next day I grouted:
