Love reading up on this. Wish I had my work shop built cause reading this makes me want even more to convert my 74 W200 4x4 truck to a nice 4x4 Custom Van. And to start working on some fab parts to customize my 97 Dodge Van. Keep posting the inspiration, enjoy watching the progress.

Kudos from MN

BTW have read this whole post 4 times now, hard to just read the updates without reading the whole post (page 1 to end) over and over again smile

Man you did such a great job that if you hadn't of said anything I would have thought it to be an original sunroof to the van!!
Not half the roof being grafted.

Great job!!!

It is better to have Van'd once in your life, then to never had Van'd at all!

Exactly as Wookee said. Don't be afraid to bring it out in primer! I love to see under construction vehicles. We live in the real world (most of us lol) and they can't be done in a week like on TV. The intrest you get will totaly motivate you!! Awsome job so far! There are people that do this for a living and would look at your project and say "bad ass"!

That's one big difference between vanners and car guys.
you roll up to a cruise night in an unfinished project unless it is some thing really unusual.they will look down on it.
At a van event vanners will show sincere interest in it.
They will talk to you about your project or about a project they are or are planning on doing. It is a whole different world.

It takes a little more planning but nice work can be done to a daily driver van.

Imitation is the ultimate complement.

This is the first time in many years I am actually honestly thinking about adding a clear spot in the roof of one of my vans.
