It has an all aluminum 5.7 LS1 from a 99 Trans Am. 310 horse stock, still has stock exhaust manifolds and catalyst convertors.
Hopefully, this winter I can add some more hp. Cam 375 hp, 100 shot NOS 475 horse, port & polish or better heads 575 horse. The LS are awesome motors & dont take much to make good horse power.

painted my 1:18 Astro to match my full size Astro. I plan to make 1:18 scale pro street rims & tires fit it, kinda like a Mini-Me.

Thank you al55 & Bikertrash.

Down to 12 days til Nats.

Cant see much of my LS1, pretty packed in there, barely see half the intake.

It is a pretty impressive motor and doesnt take much for more horsepower. Being all aluminum, it weighs less than the 4.3 that the Astro came with.

The trucks & vans have pretty much the same motor, just not all aluminum, but are more plentiful & cheaper.

Havent been on here in awhile, my Astro is parked for the winter. Have some plans for the winter - wing, parachute, NOS, cam and an air pan & hood scoop. May not get to all of them, but did scratch one of the list, new tires. Mickey Thompson S/R radials. fronts are 24x5 & the rears are 33x22.
