coolant temp sensor=new. 02, next on the list to trouble shoot. Vacuum leaks i think i have most of them taken care of. Im pulling the doghouse tomorrow to double check. Need a timing light to check that.

Definitely found at least part of the running issue. Pulled the injectors today and man were they cruddy. Soaked them and ran carb cleaner through them. Also picked up some fuel line and a new filter. Should have it all back together tomorrow and working. Ill post up how it goes!

Shes running almost perfect! 5 out of 6 plugs were less than finger tight, 3 plug wires were just barely hanging onto the post on the distributor cap, new plugs, wires, plug in the new fuel filter and cleaned the injectors and she runs tons better, although she's still burning rich. Only thing left i can think of is the o2 sensor and fuel pressure regulator. opinions?

O2 sensor and fuel pressure regulator significantly impact the richness of the mix. If you can, get a fuel pressure gauge and check the fuel pressure before you spend the money to replace the regulator.

its really burnin gas. Getting 6-8mpg at the moment. Also the EGR pipe is leaking slightly. I really think the 02 sensor is burned up, looking at the tail pipe and how black and sooty it is im sure it cant be reading right.

A steady 60 PSI with the engine on, engine off, and at different RPMs? 60 PSI is at the very top of the acceptable PSI range for the fuel injection system. According to my 1989 factory fuel system diagnosis manual, you should have 45-60 PSI of fuel pressure with the engine running and 50-60 PSI with the key on and the engine off.

The leaking EGR pipe might also be messing things up since it will change the reading of the O2 sensor and the fuel mixture. I would start by getting all exhaust leaks fixed and then make absolutely positively sure there are no vacuum leaks. THen I would check the O2 sensor, the MAP sensor, and your timing.
