While I enjoy the humor of all the suggestions... the best to which I can offer you is... NEVER ESCALATE...
especially today when people do such stupid life altering things.
When people make stupid comments as CM van, the best response is to affirmatively state... What do you mean by that? Are you insinuating that's what I am? Why would you do that? Then say nothing... They will back track. You are in control of the situation and can easily walk away. You can also change that by talking about the good that van folks do.
Remember this person is not going away... neighbors...
You should be having a chat w/ that official about harassment and what could be done as you may be heading there.
Just saying pick your battles and this worthless opinionator is not worth your time after 1 attempt to change things.

2014 and no more Econolines made... market blunder. The last new 2014 econoline to go to a vanner - DEADLAST
How many mid ford vans can 1 man own? Don't ask stupid questions...
My chopped mid ford will be painted black till they make a darker color.
Grind to Grind... Hot metal will abound the land... IceAge II 'The MeltDown'
My 3D printer will produce a life size 1969 mid ford in 2031... Wait and see...

Very good points there! A lot of the ideas where tossed out in fun, as jokes and all, but you do have to live next to them for _____ years to come.

Quiet 1, good advice. I wanted to say something similar but it seems that sometimes it best to remain quiet. Thanks!

"my passenger side mirror and antenna (missing) was broken and the and his interpertation was that it was a vioaltion under the ordinace."

You are kidding us ...are you not?

Never realized an antenna was needed to operate a vehicle?

As far as the CM thing, Id keep my kids far away from these people.

My favorite thing to explain this type of thing is;
"It takes one to know one",
And "consider the source".

They obviously think a "CM van" as they put it would draw too much attention near them. Id be looking them up to see if they are registered offenders.

That's great advice, do to him what he's doing to you put him on the defense "What do you mean by that?" I find that when people put you on the defense it's to keep you busy defending yourself so you don't have the time notice to what THEY'RE doing wrong, take notice........ he's up to something.

I agree just ask him to clarify what he meant by his statement.
Then tell him by his rational observation of all vans, that all neighbors are A** Holes!!!!

It is better to have Van'd once in your life, then to never had Van'd at all!
