Glad you are ok!

My white mini spent the winter in and out of the shop, then my Grand Marquis (daily driver) went through two trunk torsion bars and a battery, and the Big Green needed its bearings packed this week. Feels like I've had car problems all year. Hope your luck turns around!
If your gonna do it, do it in a Big Green Van! | | | Re: Bad Luck strikes again | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 addict | addict Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 645 | I feel your pain too, cars dieing left and right. My mothers needs my god she needs a new car. Her car needs new wheel studs, all new tires, oil change, brakes, alignment, new suspension, going to need a transmission rebuild soon, needs timing belt change, needs air filter change....
I just finished going through a crap load of work on my van in the past oh 6 or 7 months. In the past year I have spent about a little over 4000 dollars in parts and fluids to restore my van to travel worthy condition. But hey, it runs like a beauty now, still needs more work but a little at a time now. Recently did that driveshaft replacement, but prior I had done a fuel pump replacement and transmission rebuild.
I keep trying to convince my mother to buy a older dodge durango because they are so easy to repair and rebuilding the transmission is a piece of cake. Rebuilding anything is a piece of cake but point is I don't want another vehicle with macpherson suspension, don't want anything small. I just can't take small cars that require you to remove the front end to replace something like a shock. | | | Re: Bad Luck strikes again | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 558 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 558 | I keep trying to convince my mother to buy a older dodge durango because they are so easy to repair and rebuilding the transmission is a piece of cake.
The 1st thing you will be doing on a Durango (the 1st gen)is the ft ball joints they came out of the factory with a recall....
