Keep up the good work. Back when my 89 Ford had the sped density injection 302 in it, I spent months chasing down a off-idle stumble issue. Coolant temp sensor, MAP sensor, vacuum leaks, and fuel pressure are places to look.

We found out while it was on the lift that someone had bypassed the fuel filter and direct connected it to the fuel actuator for the tank switch so Chris is suppose to chase that down.

Argh! Amateurs. Definitely get the fuel filter plumbed back in place, and, if you can, replace the filter while you are in there.

Its on the ramps today checkin that stuff out. Anybody (Reed?) got some pics or a diagram of the fuel system under the van. It looks like what Darrin said that they plugged it into the switch for the tanks, but that would leave 2 hoses dangling i would think and be damned if i can find what should be there....

I can scan you diagrams from my 89 FSM, but it won't be until later today. Do you need electrical diagrams, fuel hose routing diagrams, or ???

Fuel hose routing is what im after, I am STILL tracing vacuum leaks. Ive got to get an appointment to get the exhaust done. That i believe is a large part of the driveability issue. Gotta get this thing ready by july! Thanks Reed, that will be helpful to know what goes where.

Sorry it took so long:

I have to say that Mopar factory service manuals have better diagrams and descriptions that Ford shop manuals, but Ford does OK. If you follow the lines carefully, you should be able to puzzle out what goers where.
