Is it possible to swap the dash out of a 1992 Astro CL to the dash style from a newer Astro ?

I want to change to this style dash:

Cool looking dash, whos is it, j/k

The question is probably better asked in the astrosafari websites.

It is possible, but could be a bigger project than expected. Between the wires for the gauges, heater controls and the heater hoses, I dont know. Pretty sure doghouses are different.

You could make it easy Unc, just run manual guages in a custom panel and ditch the factory guage pod, thereby solving the wiring issue. Yes, you can swap dashes though. MAy require drilling a few new holes and a trim here or there, but it aint the worst thing to do.

That's a great question! I'd love to have a 97 dash in my 88.

Anything is possible learn to do some glassin' if you have to, I'm sure it would come in handy.

Fester: A member on the AS website is installing a newer dash in his 88 Astro.
The 85-94 dash bolts in under windshield, while the 96-2005 dash hangs on a bar that bolts in by the doors.
Also, the duct work does not match up.

Sounds like he is going to make the newer dash work by using some of the old dash
