What is ur work schedule like? Also there are a lot of options for g20's in the southeast. Here are a couple of them. chevy van Anniston chevy | | | Re: New from AL | Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 488 addict | OP addict Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 488 | Hey Motorjunkie
I agree let's meet up some time. I am a self employed acoustical consultant and work all across the country. My work schedule is very dynamic. Generally if I am in town I can meet anytime.
That 85 is tempting to go get today. However I am trying to force myself to first figure out what year I want and then take my time to find one in the best condition. There is a 72 on eBay right now that has me almost tempted also (don't like the hole in the roof though).
At this point I think I have it narrowed down to a 1971 to 1986 LWB with dual side doors (not sure the appropriate name). I want the side doors so I can do an all steel (yes I know it will be heavy) shortened to floor level gullwing. I plan on sealing the back doors for that really smooth look.
We can meet in Bham PAP (don't have a clue what or where PAP is) anytime. If you are going to bring your van I would like to meet on a Saturday/Sunday when my wife could come along and it will be daylight. I will PM you my cell number.

I am also self employed with a very flexible schedule. PAP is short for Pull A Part. One of my favorite places in the world! THey have lots of parts at low prices. Are there any great yards in your area? I would LOVE to show you my van but I sold it YESTERDAY.... Don't worry, I already have a replacement but it will be a while before it is something your wife would be interested in seeing... It is a 79 Ford, already has wide wheels, flares and front spoiler. It is a good start. | | | Re: New from AL | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 9,428 Likes: 2 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 9,428 Likes: 2 | Hey Motorjunkie At this point I think I have it narrowed down to a 1971 to 1986 LWB with dual side doors (not sure the appropriate name). Just an FYI, the side doors on the Chevy van are known as 60 / 40 doors. And if you want to add a gull-wing side door, the best way to go is a fiberglass door. Good luck with the van search!
