4x42b . . . how much is it gonna cost you to do the conversion yourself? Just curious.

I am 'guestimating' about $3-4,000. I already had the Sub, about $1500 for the new 4x4 stuff, and I am going to have to hire the welding and some fab work done. If it is anything like fixing up a 57 Chevy, it will be double, LOL.

I've wanted a 4x4 van since the 70's, when I saw a Pathfinder ad. Now in my 50's, so it is time to do it, LOL.

4x42b, with fuel prices i would use the diesel. It should get better mileage.

no no NOT forsale! I was just saying that is how I got MY 4x4 was i found a good "used" or better yet previously owned one! that was built by professionals!

I seen a 4x4 Chev van (fullsize) up here once and the guy took the body off a suburban (the leaf spring version) and dropped the van on top of it and bolted it down, the engine all drive train attached to the subruban frame...
It looked good to....

anyone? i would buy a 4x4 one but i've already got a new motor, rebuilt the rear end new brakes all around, if anyone sees one and could snap some clear pics of the suspension hangers, front x memeber, etc. for the front it would be greatly appreciated
