Mine has the keyswitch on the dash, not the steering column. I had to specifically find a '78 dash for mine when I put in factory air conditioning a few years ago.

The A/C components under the hood (evap case) are the same from '78 to '82. I think the under dash heater box & ducting go all the way to the end of that body style.

Awsome info!
So I know now why the dashboards in those 80's vans I was looking at were so damnably close-but-no-cigar looking.
I really need a dash for my 76 G-20 as the last owner actually broke it open to get the engine cowl out! Really, hey broke the dash from the end of the drivers pod over to the passenger seat so he could get the cowl off!
IDJIT!
That of course broke the parts that hold those two heater/ac vents in the dash and so they just flap around and fall out all the time!
The dash was also covered in button and tucked red upholstery that is now pink and crunchy with time and sun. I need to get that thing off of there and replaced with a nice black dash!
