Invest in a set of jack stands please.
Even cheap harbor freight ones are safer than the cinder blocks you are using.

LMAO rofl Been usin (new) cinder blocks with pc 1-1/2" plank on top for year joe,they work better on hard dirt than jack stands! got 3 in garage,I us them on wood floor in garage,but not in garage doing this...

It was outa the blue tho man! no warning,stared up went 3 blocks up street and made left to do K turn...went for reverse and it just slipped and in middle of slip (2K rpm or so) it would grab and slip and grab and made 1 hell of a noise!! roflit would go foward but made a mean growlin noise and slipped an chitt......always changed filter & fulid,the trans fluid was still clean an nice an red....

If you get good at it you can have the tranny out in about an hour or less (about half an hour for my best time with rear wheels on a curb, front jacked up on jack stands in parking lot of my dad's work at the time) smile Now the fun stuff! smile

I'll use my lift and tranny jack. Too old to do the curb stuff anymore. I swore of laying on my back at any cost. I just can't do it anymore.
