Draggnastro: It is kinda of an allusion, the back is actually higher than the front. I raised the rear a couple inches in the back, from where it was before. Some reason, the design Gen 2, extended front & rear, makes the front look higher. I really dont want to go lower in the front, front bumper is only 6 inches of the ground already.

I talked to a guy in the Maumee area (suburb of Toledo) while I was home that has 2 tubbed big block Astro's. One is painted like a checker cab which you may know. He attends the Woodward cruise. He was pulling the engine from the second Astro when I stopped to see him. He said it will be back on the streets this week. | | | Re: Winter project, tubbing my 98 Astro | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 2,820 veteran | veteran Joined: May 2010 Posts: 2,820 | yea , but will it be able to out run Jarvis Performance;s van ? lol | | | Re: Winter project, tubbing my 98 Astro | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 155 member | OP member Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 155 | radicalran: I didnt know there was 2 BB pro street Astros by Toledo. I wouldnt mind seeing them. Not sure about the cargo net, but it does finish off the sorta stock looking interior. worked on the exhaust heat shields, it is taped on, still needs a little filing before final mounting.

I like that you didn't tear out the whole interior and kept it as stock looking as possible. I've seen a lot of pro street cars that someone has cut away most of the interior and the sheet metal out of the doors and only shaved but a few pounds off the total weight Great work!!
