No Joke - something was vibrating so badly, the Dash was shaking. Like REALLY shaking! I was worried the already broken windsheild might fall right out. Should have seen the look on Clovers face, LMAO. I wassnt going that fast either. 25-35 ish... Faster I went the worse it got. Granted the passanger tire was nearly flat, but I dont think it would have shook like that.
Trying to narrow down possible causes.
Wheel bearings? Tie-rod ends? King Pins? (I don't think there is a ball joint on these but will look)
If the drive shaft was not balanced, could it cause that effect?
Could bad Rear bearings cause that kind of vibration in the front? I have not gotten it up in the air yet to wiggle stuff around, figured I'd ask about possible causes now so I can check all that when I do. (like this weekend....hopefully)

(1) Check the torque on all the lug nuts (2) Check the motor and transmission mounts (3) Check the u-joints/ball and trunion (if so equipped) (4) Fill all the tires with air (5) Get the tires balanced (6) check for bent rim

It had older tires. I replaced the front wheels, a little less vibration. I havent swapped otu the back yet. I noticed some horizontal and vertical play when I grabbed the wheel and wiggled it. But oddly my other early has a similar amount of play at the front wheel.
I pulled the motor and transmission on Sunday to swap it out, so I’ll be replacing the driveshaft and U joints in the process (shooting for this week/weekend - rain pending). New motor mounts on the way too. I hope it’s the shaft / U joints.
I did order a set of kingpins so I’ll have a set in stock if needed, should arrive next week. Clover is picking up bearings, tie rod ends, and any other parts he can round up. The plan is to have it road ready by Mothers Day weekend. One way or another. Tick-Tock…

Horizontal play could be worn out tie rods, or a drag link. Vertical play cold be loose wheel bearings or bad king pins.
New drag links are available through Rare Parts, P/N 25757. Can be purchased at Autozone.
