Rockauto has different part numbers for delay vs. non-delay wiper systems. I thought the delay motors had different internal wiring? Cardone P/N 40383 (1985-1987) delay, non-delay Cardone P/N 40394 (1979-1984) w/delay Cardone P/N 40380 (1972-1984) w/o delay Cardone P/N 40350 (1968-1971) Wow...I had no idea the motors changed in 85. I guess that means the parts I have will only fit 85-87 vans.

If you can confirm it will work with your wiper motor, I would give it a shot.
Nate- I think the parts will physically bolt into the van, but you have to use the switch and wiring to match the year of the wiper motor. I think the change was all in the wiring.

A switch, control module, and wire harness from a '75-83 Ford F-series pickup or E-series van would work for this project, but P&P wants between $50 & $70 for everything...
(depending on whether harness is considered "small, medium, or large" ) | | | Re: Intermittent windshield wiper upgrade | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 12,107 Likes: 37 Maniac | Maniac Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 12,107 Likes: 37 | Yeah, screw those guys. That used to be the only junkyard I went to anymore, but now the prices are insane for a junkyard.
