I had been debating on whether or not to add a cam and 4bbl. to this 318. I may not now in this world of high gas prices. She's all bark and no bite, but I don't drive fast anyway. I'm a set the cruise control and ride in the right lane kind of guy.

Thanks for the compliments folks!

Got some more done today. Doesn't seem like a lot but I must have farted around taking the drivers side door apart for 45 minutes. Never had to do that before. All the felt channels kept busting off in little pieces as I was trying to get it out. Only took me 15 minutes to get the passenger door apart. LOL! I'm going back down Sunday to get some more done.

I'll be getting new bumpers and weatherstrip (except for side doors) anyway. I was able to get the part numbers off of the rubbers, so I'll see if I can find NOS.

Talk to Gary Kerr he added a cam and a 4 barrel to the 318 in his green Dodge and got improved gas milage along with performance.
The low end torque cam I put in the Beast also added gas mileage to it.2 to 4 MPG around town close to 6 on the hi way.
I have herd good things about the Edelbrock performer "pagkage" and 318's

NO pics but went down and tinkered a bit more. Got the rear window glass out and finished up some wiring repairs. I realized I cut the power wire to the electric choke assist and the "boo-boo" I mentioned in an earlier post is that I forgot to hook the ground back up for the gauge cluster which caused my fuel, temp, and oil pressure gauge to peg high. D'oh!

Most of my day was helping Brian swapping out the center section on one of his A-100's.

Just ordered a new doghouse gasket...50 bucks! Good gravy. All that for a piece of rubber.

I have a request in for new gaskets for the rear side markers and tail lamps. Hopefully Mopar still makes them. If not, I'll have to make my own.

I ordered the doghouse gasket from www.moparpartsamerica.com Used my 94 B250 as the vehicle since the online catalog doesn't spec one for 85. They're the same gasket though. They also had the cheapest price.

I have a request in to my local dealer for the lamp gaskets.
