Now that the motor is running it was time to go back to work on the rest of the drive train. First off new (used) S10 leaf springs and and spring mounts to go with the S10 blazer disc brake rear end:
New front spring mounts ready to be tack welded in place:
New spring location mounted to the frame vs the old one mounted outboard on rusty spring mounts:
Old rear end removed:
and new rear end going in and hooking up the rear shackles:
Trial fit of some 295/50R15's on a 15 x 10 rim which fit nicely in the wheel well:
Except we will have to tub it a little on the inside:
And then we pulled it outside, sits a little high in the rear but we have some adjustment built in plus there is no interior weight yet and we still have weak front springs:
But with the trailer hooked that my sons intends to pull with it, it leveled out nicely:
Next up is setting the pinion angle, getting a drive shaft made, then moving to the front suspension and new power brakes all around.
