I just can't get a good angle on it to whack it with a hammer.
Anybody have any tips on getting these out? The FSM just says "remove the roll pin."

If you haven't invested in a set of pin punches nows the time.If I remember correctly you may have to turn the steering wheel a 1/4-1/2 turn to get a better swing with a suitable hammer.Good luck my friend.

I guess it is time to get some more tools (yay!). I was trying to use a hammer and a straightened out piece of a pegboard hook, but that just wasn't working. I was turning the wheel every which way, trying to get it from above and below, and it just wasn't happening.
