Wookee, I was hoping you would chime in on this. I was thinking the same way, this small block I did mild with 9.5-1, Performer package and stock heads. I was leaning towards manifolds due to heat, leaks and side pipe issues with headers but I no longer have any manifolds on the scrap pile.

If the center dump Corvette's will not work I would assume I need any early rear dump (under plug) sbc (not 305) manifolds?

Thanks, Scott

The rear dump manifolds came on both vans and pick ups.
They are not too hard to find at the pick and pull yards.
They might be available brand new....some where
One issue with used ones are the bolts that hold the pipes in place.I have pretty good luck removing the old ones then re taping/chasing the holes and putting new bolts back in place.
I have a set off of a 77 350 that will be going on my 89 GMC.

Thanks Wookee, I will make some calls and be heading out to my local yards today. Yep the studs will be the main concern.

Happy Thanksgiving!

If you have a set of torches, clamp the manifold up in a vise and heat around the stud and gently work ito ut, be patient and don't get in a hurry and it should come right on out. Nice van by the way.

That just looks so sweet in there! Gotta love a fresh detailed engine.
