Just like body mods somebody who knows what they are doing does not give all of his learned tricks away.
If you have not figured out how to kiss your wife right we can't help there........

actually if you have the sheet metal that straight when the welding and cutting is done. You did that much your self why not just finish and paint it your self too.......

Just to pay for a job you might not be happy with?

The down side is doing every thing your self does take more time.BTDT a few time now.The finished product and a fatter wallet along with a whole host of newly learned tricks is well worth it in my books..........

Suicide doors will be a great addition to this radical van!
Please keep the updates coming, I would like to learn how this modification is done.

Well i had a house full of females so i found my self out side in the garage on christmas day .
I brought some beer with me and went to town on the dodge .
I finished the entire back end of the roof with the welding and grinded it all down then gave it a coat of duraglas like i did before when i showed you guys how i taped it out .
Then a piss coat of etching primer on the edges . That should keep it safe over the damp winter .
All i have to do now is the two front corners and the holes in the windshield frame .
Wooo hooo !!! the roof will be done !!!!

That's what I call dedication or self preservation. One of the two.
I would had loved to had work on my van, but 1) it's not here and 2) the wife and I had to cook Christmas dinner for the family. So I am glad someone could work on their van.
Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. Now where are the pics!!!

well one of the last weekends of the year i'm sure that will be kinda nice out . I had to get the chevy running that took most of my Saturday up and i had a bad head ache as it was running to rich and it took the rest of the day to get rid of .
So come sunday was dodge day i went out and set up to work on the front corners . I had to cut out a small rust spot on the passenger side . from there i grinded it down and treated the area with rust mort .
while this was drying i set out on the driver's side corner . I re-cleaned the area and welded it up and welded the holes in the window frame .

a small copper backing was used to help fill the holes in .

Welded up and started to grind it down ..

Pretty much done here although i have to figure out what to do with the rain gutters as the newer ones are rolled the the original ones are folded .
A coat of duraglass to keep the rust from forming in the welded areas is applied .

Good luck with the gutter issue. I'm sure that you will come up with a plan. Looking good!
