When I replaced a section of the rear door sill from a donor van it looked exactly the same but was 1/2" taller than the one in Lukes van. funny u should say that ken,I found out when I made my 1st gullwing that not all vans are same size!! they are panels tacked welded together to make a van and no 2 are alike!!!! annd 1/2" to top of mold to adjust for the door openings.....seems like the bottom of the door is square....but tops are not? lol 79 B-200

The last years they where manufactured in Austria from premanufactured parts from Hannover, Germany. The got the both sides premanufactured, and sometimes the found a difference in lenght up to an 1" or more | | | Re: It's ALIVE!! | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 5,265 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 5,265 | | | | Re: It's ALIVE!! | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 468 addict | OP addict Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 468 |

If you leave even small gaps they will swell after a few years and leave tracer lines in the filler.....
