I really love seeing a younger vanner taking on Big jobs that a lot of older vanners would give money to a paid parts changer to do.....
Not a big Ford guy my self..The principles are still the same.A good solid rebuilt along with a good low end torque cam with a good exhaust system will wake your 351 up and give it added performance and fuel mileage.

Keep up the great work.I hope to see it,hear it, at lost next year......

If it were me, I would stick with a 351w. Get a fresh rebuild, put a hot cam in it, and your good. BUT if you don't care about gas mileage, get a PRE emissions 460 1971 and older that has 380 HP STOCK!! Just stick with the 351w and a hot cam tho haha.

I don't speak ford very well......LOL
is a 347 a 302 block with a 351 crank or is it a destroked 351 block with a 302 crank.
Remember to hot of a cam will reqiure you to run a stall converter in an automatic van.
In a SBC a low end torque cam allows the engine to run more efficiently and adds a bunch of power from light to light.
For street use you really want a cam that works from 1,000 to 3,000 RPM's

A 347 (Stroker) is a stroked 302 engine. You would get a 347 stroker crank for it.
