Thats great i hope you told him about the Forum?
Oh hell yeah I told him about this site. He emails me here and there now, sounds like him and his brother have a restoration business and are kinda busy doing that. He says he has a trailer full of vannin stuff from back in the day! Also told me some funny stories about their adventures back then. From what I gather he must be in his 50'r or 60's, sounds like a gear head at heart. This was one of his emails....
"We are a lot alike. I had a black 78 trans am almost new loved it. Have slot cars and some in my auctions. Liked count chocula the cartoons and the shows you mentioned. You can still see good stuff like that today on what is called ME TV. I get it from an antenna. Batman lost in space wild west and many others are on later today in fact. I'm into classic rock music big time and played guitar in the band tripp in the seventies if you ever heard of it. Neil young,Eagles, The Band used to go to all the concerts. I still play guitar and have a black les paul custom and my 67 Fender Prinston Reverb amp I will not part with.
As far as the Van club, I am older than you I grew up in the sixty's. Me and my brother were youngest age members. We both had several GMC and Chevy vans through the years. My brother is a full member and I was always an associate member. Most everyone now and the club is pretty much almost done for as some members that used to be partying fools are now dead or in their late sixties or early seventies. The van in's, wet t-shirts, chicks, music and all the partying waking up to find your van is the new center piece of the local park fountain are all but memory's for the guys.
You don't owe me nothing, glad to of met a guy like you that still knows how to do a van up right.....you got skills.
Drop me a line when you get the plate so I know you got it.
ps I have two more Dodge plates. I will offer them to anyone else that bids on the Dodge plate I have on auction...
