Thanks all!!!!!!!!
It is so surreal to me! I took it in for body work, the scoop and to have it all colored matched to the original van color. I knew at that time it would take a little while, but that gave me time to save the rest of the money needed!!

They started to notice that a lot of people gravitating towards the van and had a bunch of questions. Then a photographer from Hot Rod Mag. was there to take pics of a 20's street rod they were doing, when he saw the van. He told them he use to photograph vans in their heyday. He also told them he was hearing of a resurgence of custom vans, but never thought it was far along enough to see them in custom shops. He spent more time looking and asking what their plans were with the van then on the real reason he was there!!
That's when Tom the lead painter(who painted his first van in '73) asked if he could do a custom paint on my van. In exchange I show it (when I can), cruise it and enjoy it!! That's it!! I got to chose the colors and wanted it to be as close to a 70's paint job as possible.
I have no clue what's next, until they post it. So that's why I really don't care how long it takes. I am a firm believer good things come to those who wait. I will be cruising it soon enough!
Stay tuned!!!!!

It is better to have Van'd once in your life, then to never had Van'd at all!
