Maybe rather then pitching it to networks you have it pressed to DVD and sell it to the enthusiast crowd of Vanners like ourselves, akin to "Trucks Gone Wild" or Drop jaw's "Freakshow" DVDs. Hell, talk to Dropjaw, they may release it or distribute it for you, they love vans.

In order to make something appealing to major network it has to be youthful and exciting. No offense to anyone, but the van scene is not at that point anymore/again. If you followed a younger clubs or individuals through some builds/ truck ins you may come to some really interesting footage. There other sects of car culture out there whooping it up like vanners were in the 70's and 80's, again reference the Dropjaw DVDs. Find some vanners that are willing to light the tires up on camera, 4x4 vans taking on some deep mud, show and shine footage ect. If my 77 Dodge was done Id burn the tires to the rims for it to be on a bitchin DVD. I get jealous seeing other cultures getting down like old school vanning without the van, but that is a whole other worms

Even though the segments were extremely well done and interesting to me, the general public wont want to sit down and watch someone get nostalgic about their van for a half hour. How long would American Chopper been on if they only showed scenes of Paul SR babbling on and on about his motorcycle collection and passion for them. Id say not long at all. It not about what you are presenting, its about how you present it.

Even if you scaled back and pieced it together as is for a DVD Im sure there are many among us that would love too see a couple new HQ Van DVDs come out. If anything it could be a reference to major magazines when we ask for coverage, a demo tape if you will. You never know who's hands it might fall into......

So they would rather someone chase the ole lady out the door naked with a squirt bottle of baby oil & slide off in the grass than see what Vannin is all about....thats a shame....sex & drama...arguments & more drama....

Stacy's 4x4, muscle car, horsepower he gets to build whatever with out all the extra drama...why cant there be a van rebuild show?

Thanks for your input.
I have thought of the DVDs. I did not spend time looking into the process, since my goal was to get vannin back to the national scene.
My approach was probably wrong, I should have made it more exciting somehow. I was making these videos by myself (and sometimes with Diamond Dans help), shoot, edit, direct, sound, not an easy task. It might have been better if I'd had a Host, somebody interesting to "push" the vanners to the next level. However I think the owners of the vans did an excellent job.
Well, maybe some time will go by, I will spark a new idea.
Until than please enjoy my videos on the internet.

We can push a Toyota van off a cliff! Don't fret Balint, we are all dealing with the same issues and have been for some time. It's what makes us Vanners!
