I found where the electrical short on the van was - in the horn, while I was at it I swapped out the steering wheel for my new Moon metalflake one. Are you liking the MSD Box? Where did you locate the transparent distributor cap?
Say, you never said, but how did your emissions test turn out? Do you think the MSD will improve things?

Unburnt fuel in exhaust, so hopefully the MSD unit will help with that and I'm thinking I'll swap the jets around on the carb and see if the problem transers banks. Just removed and re-installed the sump today and found the rear seal wasn't seated properly so hopefully that's the oil leak sorted and then I'll bring it for a run this weekend and then another emissions test during the week and see how it does.
The transparent dizzy cap I got from summit one of their own brand items I think.
