Lol, burning rubber, you obviously dont have a /6 van! Seriously though, thanks for the kind words everybody. Looks like its going fairly smoothly, couple of mods to the throttle linkage were necessary and now im cleaning up and painting the air cleaner. I got a lot of unused vacuum lines now i need to chase down and clean up, while making sure i still got brakes and hvac controls. We're in the home stretch now though!

Post some pictures and I can tell you where all the hoses go and don't go. The power brake hose will be about a 1/4 inch diameter hose or metal line that plugs into the top of the vacuum tree on the #6 runner. The HVAC is powered by a single black plastic hose that attaches to the vacuum tree. Everything else that attaches to the vacuum tree is emissions related, except for the vacuum line that goes to the lean burn computer. You need to leave the hose to the computer attached to the manifold vacuum source until you switch to HEI ignition.

Gotta go charge up the battery and a few other odds and ends today. Ill post up pics

The carb will be "looking" for the metered leak the PCV valve supplies, not the no-leak the brake booster will give. Tuning your carb with the brake booster plugged into the PCV port will result in incorrect settings that will need to be readjusted once you get the PCV valve plugged back in.
I probably have an extra vacuum tree in my garage. Let me look. You need power brakes and A/C nipples, any other vacuum operated accessories?

Also, im having trouble with the dist. There are 2 plugs on it, 1 is a 1 female, 1 male plug, and the other is a 2 male with the female blocked off, look kind of like a trailer plug. Dont know where they go, or where they went. Maybe they had sensors etc on the old head they plugged into?

There is a "start" pickup coil and a "run" pickup coil in the distributor.
Be sure to set your base timing correctly as well.

They had fallen down along the frame. Is the base timing not set correctly to begin with or is modification necessary with the new carb setup?
