So, I am installing the new WP and thermostat in the van today.. and I hear this "snap" as I was installing the upper water neck for the rad hose. I thought nothing of it of course, that is, until I started the van. Boy she did sound MUCH better at idle, but then, it started leaking at the neck. Apparently, I snapped the ear off the drivers side of the water neck. I took the neck out, and I JB welded the neck and clamped it. I am hoping this can hold up to a week of around town driving until I get the new parts in *crosses fingers*. I am putting in a new radiator (old one has fins falling out of it), electric cooling fan (might put that on hold until spring), upper & lower rad hoses, serpentine belt, a 160 degree thermo, and of course flushing the whole system out to prepare for winter.

Well so far after an hour and a half of baking in the sun, the JB stuff on the neck is dry to the touch. I just ordered the new neck to the tune of a whole $2.44 from Amazon lol

*packs and moves to Orlando* rofl Is it as piss humid in Orlando as the Miami/Dade areas?

Back on topic.......... After 5 hours of baking.. I attempted to put it on... pffffftttttttt NO GO!!! There was a screw in pipe for the heater core hose, and I attempted to unscrew it.. hahahahaha NOPE! I took my hammer and busted the living sh*t out of the housing encasing said screw in pipe until it broke thus freeing the accessory pipe. Van is down until Wednesday when I get the new neck in. I believe the new Rad will be here too as well laugh The ol battle axe is gonna love me for all this, plus the new rubber to the tune of $450... eep! I need rims tho.. hubcaps suck!!
