Todays Topic Door Tops .
While doing some research this week I wrote to Randy Pelc and asked for some advice in regards to the shaping of the door tops .
And he sent me a great diagram how ever i'm having a hard time posting it as it came in a file and not a photo.

Bob came over and he basicaly made it his personal quest to do the door tops . I was the clean parts , spot weld and over aged gofer . It took 6 1/2 hours just to do the one driver side .
Parts are made ready ...

Great work going on here. Been following the thread since the start. That hood looks sweet on there.

Thanks Guys the hood is bitchin !
Heavy the under side frame came lose , It sags in the midle to fix it quick i installed a rubber bumper .

Today i took an old hood and pulled the skin off. I'm going to take the inner frame and send it out to be media blasted .
Then i'll use a special bonding agent to hold the fiber glass to the metal frame . I'll take apart the J & J hood and afix the fiber glass skin to the metal frame ...
I love Mad science !!

The door is looking great. I know doing the doors makes the roof work seem easy. You wouldn't think shrinking something a few inches would be that big of a deal. But it seems every dimension / radius changes and has to be dealt with as you can tell from the photos above. Super Job...
