The gas gauge needle? Yeah, its going to head for "E" MUCH faster now.

Honestly, for the amount of effort and time put into this motor swap, he could have had a very stout slant six rebuilt that will go just as fast on less gas as the 360 will. I have driven Dodge vans powered by 225s, 318s, and 360s, and the slant six is still my favorite (unless I am hauling HEAVY loads).

but the swap is done, so good luck with it! Be sure get the vacuum advance for the distributor hooked up right, and it looks like that carb has a vacuum operated economizer valve that is currently capped off on the back. You want to get that working right too.

It was getting 10-12 mpg with the slant.

Yes, and no. I bypassed it with a hot wire to the solenoid since i plan to run a push botton nascar style switch panel anyway. Lemme tell you buddy, she sounded healthy!
