Very good point, i will have to put some thought into that. i have a standard bucket seat left over from the Astro that may work mounted forward. Definately some research to do though.

not a ton of progress this week, since the little one is still with me, but she helped me with a 2 year overdue oil change and i did score 2 new tires for the front for 10 bucks. When i do something pic worthy ill post up. May pull the rear wheels tomorrow and start sanding the rims in anticipation of beauty rings and chrome lugs.

Us Northerners should be taking advantage of the Break from Cold weather. I need to put my Chevy truck on the road, the dodge mileage is killin my van Fund.

i once had a pair of Beauville benches in my old G30 - one went along the driver's side wall, and the other went across between the wheelwells... it looked pretty cool, but then i got afraid of my son sitting along the side wall...

i got a smaller bench seat and put that behind the front buckets facing forward... i didn't like it all that much, but maybe it was the times with the ex-wife that made that van not as enjoyable...!?

im still trying to figure out a seating arrangement that looks good, and leaves me interior space. i dont imagine sitting on the wall to be terribly unsafe, as there are several types of vehicles out there that have such seating arrangements. Plus she isnt in the van 90% of the time so that time there will probably be no seat at all in it.

Something that is Removable will be more beneficial all around for you. maybe you could go to the PAP and get a Stow N Go seat from a Newer Chrysler minivan.

that would be interesting. I thought about building a bench that is basically an extension of the bed. I can pirate some seat belts and that will give the youngin' a sleeping surface up off the floor of the van as well.

The conversion van seat/couch I currently have mounted in Big Red lays out towards the front of the couch.when laid flt it takes up the whole slider opening.
I plan on building a set of boxes behind the seat to the back doors with a floor that will lift up, which with the addition of an air mattress the whole inside of the van will turn into one giant bed.
this way I can have my cake and eat it too.
I can use my van for hauling stuff and still use it to haul people when needed.Then sleep in it when that time comes.......
