I moulded it in and didn't like the look of it - too much like a subura imprezza style scoop. So I filled the gap with expanding foam filler fibreglassed over that and then body fillered over the top. Then I had some troubles with the high build primer reacting with the undercoat and I had to strip back and start again. Ended up putting down a lot of layers of paint and a lot of sanding. A step by step would have been a 5 volume publiction.

The first (before) picture is my garage, too small to even get my car in but a good place to work though. I put the hood back on today and lined it up as best I could the new wings are for a mid 80s chevy and there are slight differences but I'm happy with the way it looks.
