Wow, that gold paint scheme is BEAUTIFUL!! It has a very 70 theme to it which I really like but will put the 70's era on your van, just make sure your ok with that I know I am. I would reconsider glassing in that spoiler though, I'm on my 3rd set of front flares and even if you don't whack it on something it will chip up from being so low and you just unbolt it and repaint it. This van is going to look unbelievable!! Can't wait to see it finished.

Looks very nice ! When I was looking at it something looked familiar. The Dice van has a similar base color but totally different graphics and the same window.

Glad to see the van ready for new paint! I really like the gold too. And I would agree to paint the window frame black and limo tint the glass. Please keep the pics coming!

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement! I am really hoping it will come out nice.

@Munz - I am trying to have a 70s look but hopefully make it feel contemporary too. It's hard to balance the two sometimes.

@c1run1 - The shop looks clean because he is just moving in to that space. I hope it stays clean it makes the photos better.

@Virtual - I really like the Dice van. That painter is talented. If I knew a painter like that I might make mine more like that. Although I liked that van when the previous owner had it solid brown too.

I should be able to get some more pics tonight. It should be further along.

I stopped by and checked out the progress. So far so good. The glass guy came and pulled the windshield. There's just a little surface rust under there so I feel like I lucked out. I was afraid it was going to be bad under there. So far no rust to speak of (knock wood).

They have a lot of work left to do but I am excited still.

Does anyone know where to buy the rubber hinge gasket things for the back doors? Mine have a couple coats of paint on them.

I love the paint scheme.

Gluing the windows in is supposed to work well. If you still want to keep the, may I suggest painting the frames to match the van though. That silver frame is going to take away from the sweet graphics.

I like the gold! I also like the color that was on it, the maroon. As for wheels, to stick with the new meets old thing, why not go with a staggered plus size arrangement. 18's in front 20's in back or 16/18 something like that?
